@iraantlers also, I find Tusky (the Android Mastodon app) freaks out when you re-open an image I have already viewed. It seems to take twice as long the second time round (when it should just be cached from the first)

@iraantlers it depends on the instance the image is being loaded from. Some instances are better than others. I don't even bother with video from most instances.

@HXLNT Some opensource alternatives include Gimp, Krita, Inkscape, Scribus, and LibreOffice Draw!

@bethsawin thank you for your post. This was me yesterday. Unfortunately I swapped the tea for beer, but I'm glad I swapped the yoga for music. I totally lost myself in a good way, after feeling I'd already lost the entire year. Here's to a better day today! Thank you for your encouragement.

@endrift 🤣 indeed. I watch most YouTube videos at 2x speed, after skipping for the first two minutes. They often contain so little content they should have been a tweet or toot. I judge my friends harshly when they send me video content unless it's music or film, they're passive consumers living at someone else's pace 🤣
