About 5 years ago my sister lost a book of poetry (William Blake), so recently she decided to replace it and ordered a second hand copy on eBay. It arrived today.

It's got her handwritten notes in it. It's hers.

For the record I've already got an account for my side project up and running on mstdn.social - I may share it when there's something there worth sharing.

Manual approval of accounts over on mastodon.social these days. I know they probably get inundated with spam, but if you're on a roll trying to get a project up and running, seems it might be quicker to set up your own instance... But this was only supposed to be a side project hahaha

#Jetpack will no longer auto-share blog posts to #Twitter!

This is because Automattic, the company the owns Jetpack, was not able to come to a "good faith" agreement with Twitter about access to their API.

Sorry, the sabotage of Twitter is not a “disaster for democracy”—it’s the logical and inevitable endpoint of surveillance capitalist control of our communications infrastructure.

Those who control a message’s delivery system control the message.

Twitter was always owned by surveillance capitalists—it NEVER served democracy.
