@BlahBlah@theblower.au @HamonWry yup, this one. Did it hurt? You bet, and still does. Are we better off without them? Absolutely. Good riddance!
When using Twitter (or any algorithmic social network), you subconsciously learn to please the algorithm.
You stop expressing yourself and start writing for the machine.
On Mastodon, you are forced to either write for yourself or for other humans.

@sean_ae in New Zealand it is short for brother and is usually used when referring to friends
I didn't think they'd raise the walls on *my* garden, sobs the woman who registered at the walled-garden website.
@simon_diamond beautiful colours!!!
@suara_alam I'm LOVING this series
@cmconseils ouch 🤣🤣🤣 so spot on.
@atomicpoet In Firefox at least you can disable them.
@atomicpoet how did you get that number? The unique domains of your followers?
@audrea just the other day on the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/06/whistleblower-ufo-alien-tech-spacecraft

@ratfactor stunning!
@dirt your style is so distinctive. I recognise your photos in my feed before even seeing your name
@ec@moth.social @cheeaun I can understand certain complaints about the foundation itself, but we can't have another monopoly. Firefox is the most important browser in the world right now, because it's solid and compliant and still used, and it's not based on Blink. If we lose Firefox we'll wait a long time before there is a competitor worth considering, and we'll at the mercy of another international megacorp, even moreso than we are now, and even more than it was with Microsoft
@HonDuMuc sensational! Love it!
@j3s just wanna say I found your site earlier today and am still clicking through it. Thank you for everything you share.
